Hants CC cannot be bothered to spend money on Smannell Roads!

Remember last month we told you that we had been busy chasing Tory led Hampshire County Council on the conditions of road signs and the state of our roads in Smannell. We told you that part of that campaign involved finding out via the Freedom of Information Act just how much or little the Tories had spent on Smannell Roads well according to figures supplied to Smannell Lib Dems shows that the Tories in 2006/2007 spent £0, yes zero pounds, on road repairs and in 2007/2008 they spent just £6200. So that’s just £6200 in 2 years spent on road repairs in 2 years! I wonder how much we paid in Council Tax over those 2 years to Hampshire County Council in the last 2 years!

Watch this space we have requested this information and will prepare a report for County Councillor Robin Hughes and the Parish Council who have both asked Hants CC Highways engineers to attend the next meeting of the Parish Council to explain this shocking lack of expenditure on our roads.
